January Recap

Resolution recap. 1-Better about sending out birthday/anniversary cards. I did send one to Vanessa, so I consider this a success. 2- Keep my car clean. Well....hmmm. Not so much. I mean today it is clean (because Scott cleaned it out and vacuumed it this morning) but overall...fail. 3-Play the lotto. Not once. I did however find an old scratch off winning ticket, but it's expired. Fail. 4-Print out my pictures and put into albums. I uploaded 188 pictures to walgreens.com today and will be picking them up tomorrow. I have the album ready to fill. Whether it gets done, who knows, but so far....success. Not a terrible start to 2010.

Today, the sun was out. Granted, it was only 35 degrees, but good enough for some outside fun. Brady hates the cold weather and keeps asking when it's going to be warm. I wish I knew. I'm ready for it.

Happy Saturday!

I came down with some sort of stomach bug yesterday around 11:45am. I literally finished throwing up at 10:30 last night. Miserable. I can't even describe it...near death, I tell you. This morning, I woke up feeling much better and when I walked into the living room, I couldn't help but laugh at Miz Cate. She is crazy.

She's showing me that she has shinguards on under her jammies...why wouldn't she?!

Happy Saturday!

"Ring Rosie"

Cate, Gabby, and Gracie convinced Carter to play a few games of "ring rosie" this week.

So Funny!

Busy Weekend

This weekend, my calendar read as follows:
Two soccer games
One soccer practice
One basketball game
One basketball practice
One baseball practice
Two birthday parties
UGH! And we painted the laundry room. Saturday night, Aunt Kaffy asked the boys to go to Jon's hockey games and then spend the night. Woohoo! And, Carter spent the night at a friends. Double Woohoo! Scott and I took Cate to Claire's 3rd birthday party at The Little Gym then out to dinner. Here are a few highlights from the weekend....
Bennett #6. His very first basketball game. He really liked it.
Brady watching the game
Cate ready for a night out with mommy and daddy!
Poor Baby Cate had to wait her turn to get on the inflatable jumping thing. Good thing her brothers weren't there..they hate to see her sad!
Claire received lots of fun gifts! Cate pushed her chair right up front to get a better view.
Brady and Hunter...two cool dudes

Cate and Reed on the slide at the Y.

She wanted a stamp on her hand

Sunday night was the first time I saw Carter since before school on Friday. We were both going in different directions all weekend. Obviously, he was not thrilled that I wanted to take his picture. He is totally pre-teen and so not interested in being with us!

Catie Bug

This little girl will soon be celebrating a birthday! She is currently obsessed with these soccer cleats (goodbye reindeer antlers). She loves to hear the "click click" on the hardwood floors!!

Shower Me With Cleanliness

Cate has graduated from the bathtub. Hooray! Her new favorite place to be is in the shower. She giggles and shrieks the entire time. This makes me so happy because I think baths are kinda gross. Sitting in her own dirty water, possible urine..washing her hair and then sitting in that water...just never appealed to me. After Brady's shower last week, she said she wanted in, so off the clothes came and in she went. And she's been in there every night since. I'm hoping it stays that way...I'm tired of bleaching tub toys :)And I think the shower has made her hair thicker and curlier~ Ha!

Her Newest Accessory

Cate is way over bows (that lasted approx. 6 hours). Now she loves to wear reindeer antlers everywhere. Isn't this a fun phase?! NOT!

Gimme a B!

Brady made his indoor soccer debut Monday night and he did great! This was his first time playing organized soccer and he loved it. I was very worried about him playing on this team because his teammates and opponents are all in 1st or 2nd grade and Brady is still in preschool. Most of his team played outdoor together so he was about the only one without an official uniform. Good thing Santa left this awesome Manchester United jersey and shorts and Mau Mau and PaPa bought him those super cool yellow shoes :) Brady definitely had the largest cheering section...14 family members :) Carter played the role of proud big brother...all of those "training/coaching sessions" in the basement definitely paid off!
He was a bit timid in the beginning, but after the first quarter he was everywhere the ball was!
First thing he said after the game..."how many days til my next game?"

Tuesday Night

Me: "When your dad gets home, I'm going out to dinner with my girlfriends"
Bennett: "Ewww, I didn't know mom was gay"

And when I came home three hours later:

Brady: "Bennett pointed the f-word at me" (meaning his middle finger)
Bennett: "That's because he was being an a-hole"

UGH.

Carter had to give me a very (long) detailed run-down of the first night of American Idol (who needs TIVO?!)

Cate was wearing Brady's boxer briefs and hot pink boots

Scott was "cleaning" the bedroom...meaning he was laying in bed watching tv.

So, thank you to my "girlfriends" for once a month giving me such a great reason to leave this madness behind!!!

Game Night

We've had a lot of game nights lately. Monopoly, Pictureka, cards, Guess Who, and everyone's favorite..Twister. And Cate always makes things extra exciting :)

Every time she played she had to kick one leg up...maybe she has watched one too many yoga infomercials with Ben!

The boys finally decided they'd had enough of her butting in and made her the spinner. Bad idea.

"Come on Cate!!!"

Poor guys were left in that position while she indulged in a water break

Brady gave in and played a round with her

I guess this was "head on yellow"

Next game night may have to be played after she falls asleep :)
